Multiply your NICU impact with a gift on Giving Tuesday
John Baker, founder and CEO of Kitchener-Waterloo’s D2L, is boosting your impact on the neonatal intensive care unit at Waterloo Regional Health Network (WRHN), which cares for over 850 babies per year.
This Giving Tuesday, John’s adding $1 to every $2 donated to the NICU, with the goal of raising $240,000 for new beds and equipment that will give WRHN’s tiniest patients a big boost.

Where does my donation go?
Your gift today will help WRHN Foundation secure new beds for the NICU and additional equipment, including:
- Top-of-the-line incubators
- Phototherapy lights
- Feeding syringe pumps
- Cardiorespiratory monitors
- Milk warmers
- And much, much more.
Why do we need more NICU beds?
The demand for NICU beds in Waterloo Region continues to outpace availability. Shortages not only delay critical care but separates families during the most vulnerable times.
Expanding local NICU capacity means more babies can receive lifesaving treatment close to home, surrounded by the love and support of their families.
