Hemodialysis
In-centre, home, and satellite hemodialysis, cleaning the blood with a machine, usually three to five times a week.
Peritoneal Dialysis
A daily at-home treatment using a soft tube placed in the abdomen to filter the blood, with support from the care team throughout.
Kidney Transplant Referral Centre
Assessments and referrals for patients considering a kidney transplant, often the best treatment option for kidney disease.
Renal Clinics & Kidney Education
Support for patients managing chronic kidney disease, including education on slowing its progress and understanding treatment options.

You can give today or become a monthly donor, and direct your gift to renal and kidney care specifically.
Will I receive a tax receipt for my donation?
Yes. WRHN Foundation is a registered Canadian charity (Charitable Registration No. 889180394 RR 0001), and tax receipts are issued for eligible donations. Monthly donors receive an annual tax receipt each February covering all gifts from the previous calendar year.​
If I need kidney care myself, who should I contact?
Most kidney care begins with a referral from a family doctor or nurse practitioner. WRHN's renal clinics can help patients understand their options at every stage of kidney disease.
